KNOW WHAT YOUR JEWELRY IS MADE OF
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Solid gold jewelry means that it is a solid mixture of metals throughout the entire piece. This means that its color, quality, and purity level stays the same over time, and does not wear away. Other jewelry is layered, like with plated jewelry (0.05% gold), and gold filled (5% gold).

24K gold is the only type of gold that is 100% pure gold, with no other mixtures—however, it is extremely soft, and very rare for jewelry. Other golds, like 10K, 14K, 18K, has other metals mixed with it so that the metal is more durable and more affordable. They are mixed with silver, zinc, and a tiny bit of copper. We don't use nickel in our yellow gold.

• 10K Gold •• 10/24 solid gold. 41.6% gold. (52% silver).

• 14K Gold •• 14/24 solid gold. 58.3% gold. Most popular type of solid gold in the US.

• 18K Gold •• 18/24 solid gold. 75% gold. Most popular type of solid gold in Europe.

• 24K Gold •• 24/24 pure gold, solid. 100% gold. Very soft. Very brilliant yellow.

The higher the Karat (purity) level, or the amount of gold in your jewelry, the better it is for new piercings.

• • • Why choose a solid gold nose ring hoop? This hoop can be put in and left in—sleeping, showering, running, playing, etc. • • •

• • While they may be tricky to get in the first time, these hoops stay put for days and even years—which is why they are a beloved piece of jewelry. They are meant to be lightweight, durable, and stylish in your daily life.
